沖縄 性的暴行事件 初公判 米海兵隊上等兵が無罪主張 那覇地裁
去年5月、アメリカ海兵隊の上等兵が沖縄本島で女性に性的暴行をしようとしてけがをさせたとして、起訴された事件の初公判が開かれ、上等兵は「わいせつな行為も暴力行為もしていない」と無罪を主張しました。
アメリカ海兵隊の上等兵ジャメル・クレイトン被告（22）は去年5月、沖縄本島で面識のない成人女性に性的暴行をしようとして首を絞めるなどの暴行を加え、けがをさせた罪に問われています。
2日、那覇地方裁判所で開かれた初公判で被告は「わいせつな行為も暴力行為もしていない」などと無罪を主張しました。
検察は冒頭陳述で「被告は路上で酒に酔った女性に声をかけてともにタクシーに乗り、女性の関係先でわいせつな行為をしようとして、首に背後から腕を回して締めつけるなどしてけがを負わせた」と主張しました。
これに対し弁護側は「女性の承諾を得てタクシーに同乗し、送り届けたあとは立ち去ることを告げてハグをしただけだ。無理やりわいせつな行為をしたわけでもなければ、暴力行為をしたわけでもない」と反論しました。
裁判では3日、被害者の証人尋問が予定されています。
この事件をめぐっては、逮捕の時点で政府や県警から沖縄県に情報が伝わっていなかったことが問題になり、県警は去年7月、逮捕や書類送検をした時点で県に伝える新たな通報体制を整えています。
