「子供太鼓台」が練り歩き 少子化で活動終える地区も 愛媛
「こどもの日」を前に、愛媛県四国中央市で、子どもたちが豪華けんらんな「子供太鼓台」という山車をひいて街を練り歩きました。
四国中央市では、秋祭りの時期に「太鼓台」という豪華けんらんな山車が街を練り歩き、子どもにも祭りに親しんでもらおうと、小学生が参加する「子供太鼓台」も活動しています。
このうち藤原地区の「藤原子供太鼓台」は、少子化のため去年、祭りに参加できず、今後も存続が難しくなったため活動を終えることになりました。
帰省する人が増える大型連休にあわせて、太鼓台の最後のお披露目が行われ、小学生のほか、中学生や地域の大人たちも加わって、勇ましい掛け声とともに高さ4メートルほどの太鼓台を担いで街を練り歩きました。
総務省の推計によりますと、去年10月1日現在で愛媛県の15歳未満の子どもは14万3000人で、前の年より4000人減少しました。
小学3年生の女の子は「太鼓台が揺れたときは少し怖かったですが、最後なので頑張って担ぎます」と話していました。
また70代の男性は「私の子どもも太鼓台を担いでいましたが、きょうは孫が担いでいます。毎年、見たい風景が地域から無くなるのはさみしいです」と話していました。
