フィリピンでは、台風や季節風の影響で土砂崩れや浸水が相次ぎ、これまでに8人が死亡、2万人以上が避難所での生活を余儀なくされています。

フィリピンでは先週発生し、その後、熱帯低気圧に変わった台風14号や「モンスーン」と呼ばれる季節風の影響で大雨が続き、首都マニラがあるルソン島などでは土砂崩れや浸水が相次いでいます。

災害対策当局によりますと、長引く雨で地盤が緩み、少なくとも8人が土砂崩れなどで死亡したほか、住宅の浸水が相次ぎおよそ2万2000人が避難所での生活を余儀なくされているということです。

マニラ市に隣接するケソン市の施設には市民およそ1700人が避難し、テントの中で家族と過ごしたり、支援物資を受け取ったりしていました。

家族と避難してきた45歳の女性は「自宅が浸水するのはこれで2度目です。今回は、屋根の上まで水が届きました」と疲れた表情で話していました。
