AIエージェントは不眠不休の“デジタル労働力” ソフトバンク孫会長
ソフトバンクは、法人向けに先端技術を紹介するイベント「SoftBank World 2025」を開催した。冒頭の特別講演に登壇したソフトバンクグループ 代表取締役 会長兼社長執行役員で、ソフトバンク 創業者 取締役の孫正義氏は、「AIエージェント」がテーマになっている今回のイベントに合わせて、ソフトバンクの社内に大々的にAIエージェントを導入すると明らかにした。

ソフトバンクがテーマにしたAIエージェントとは、質問に答えを返す単純なものではなく、判断して行動する、協調するといった、自らアクションを起こすものを指す。AIの世界において、ディープラーニング、大規模言語モデル(LLM)に続く3番目の大きな進化と位置づけるほか、現在はPCやスマートフォンを介して(マウスやタッチ操作で)使っているAIが、自ら行動することで、人との関わり方という面でも大きな一歩を踏み出すものとする。
「寝ている間もエージェント同士がやりとりする」というように、AIエージェントは常時稼働で生涯記憶、不眠不休で働く“デジタル労働力”になり、働き方が大きく変わるという。
ソフトバンクの実装は、細かな仕事内容に特化したAIエージェントを複数作り、それらを協調させて動かす仕組み。最終的には全社員それぞれに最適化された、1人あたり1,000ものAIエージェントを作成、ソフトバンク社内では全体で10億エージェントを稼働させる。
これらはすべてを人が作るわけではなく、AIエージェントがAIエージェントを作る自己増殖や、自らを強化する自己進化の仕組みを取り入れることで実現する。AIエージェントの協調動作を含めたこれらの仕組みは、孫氏が自ら特許を出願したという。
すでにAIエージェントの能力は博士号を超えているとし、「ハルシネーション(幻覚≒回答内容の誤り)はささいな、時間の問題。どんどん無くなっていく」と進化を語る。すでに高い効果が見込まれているプログラミングの分野では、「社員はコーディングをやらないと決めた」という。開発版のデモンストレーションを披露したコールセンター業務も「人間がやるのはおかしいという時代がくる」と、AIエージェントでの代替を進め、24時間365日対応できるようなものにしていく。ショッピングもAIエージェントで進化し、既存の購入履歴を反映した注意点を紹介したり、価格を比較したりして、購入まで任せられるようになる。
また、孫氏はかねてから「AIは近い将来、感情を理解し、自らが感情や意識に相当するものを持ち始めると信じている」と、“超知能”への進化を語っている。これには進化の早さが背景にあり、孫氏が示す「スターゲートの法則」では、ひとつのサイクルでチップ数10倍、チップ性能10倍、モデル性能10倍の、合計で1,000倍の進化が起こるという。次のサイクルではさらに1,000倍されて100万倍に、さらに次のサイクルでは10億倍になるとし、これが「数年でやってくる」ともする。
「AIはたいしたことがない、限界が見えたという人もいるが、それはあなたの理解の限界だ。10億倍の世界を想像するのは難しい。もはやAGI(汎用人工知能)を超えているはずだ」(孫氏)
孫氏はまた、イベントに参加する法人の顧客向けに、「進化を真正面から捉えて、食らいついていくのが日本に必要なこと。そういう文化を作ることが大切。進化を否定する会社は、未来を制限することになる」と呼びかけた。
■ 企業側もAIエージェントの導入を
特別講演ではソフトバンク 代表取締役 社長執行役員兼CEOの宮川潤一氏も登壇、同社が展開するAIエージェントの具体的な事例が紹介された。
AIエージェントのプログラミング性能については、OpenAIのプログラミング用AIエージェント「Codex」を例にとり、そのプログラミングスコアが人類の上位50位以内のレベルであること、年内にも世界1位になることが予測されていると紹介。宮川氏が、音声だけで指示し、AIと対戦できるリバーシゲームを数分で作った様子も披露された。
こうしたことは、非エンジニアもソフトウェアを開発できるようになり、世界中でイノベーションが大きく加速、「デジタル労働力として社会実装され始める」と予測する。
宮川氏は、AIエージェントはすでにスマートフォンに搭載されるなど実装が始まっており、企業側が導入しなければ消費者のニーズに応えられなくなるとも指摘。「AIは従来のITシステムとは異なり、導入後も進化をし続ける。導入はゴールではなくスタート。“最適な導入タイミング”をよく聞かれるが、“今だ”と答えている。時期を考えるより、行動してみることをオススメする」と、導入を促している。
