陸上 サニブラウン 来月の日本選手権へ 宮崎での合宿を公開
陸上男子短距離の日本のエース、サニブラウン アブデル・ハキーム選手が、来月の日本選手権に向けた宮崎県での合宿を公開し、「明確に目標を持って1本1本を走り、世界選手権につなげられればいい」と意気込みを述べました。
陸上男子短距離の日本のエースで26歳のサニブラウン選手は、世界選手権の代表選考を兼ねて来月4日から東京の国立競技場で行われる日本選手権を前に、今月20日から27日までの予定で宮崎県内で合宿をしています。
日本選手権には自己ベストが日本歴代2位となる9秒96の100メートルにエントリーしていて、23日は都城市の競技場で練習しました。
この中でサニブラウン選手は、時折雨が降る中、ワイヤーで重さが3キロから8キロの負荷をかけた状態で10メートルから40メートルの距離を走り込み、1回1回、スタッフとともに映像を見ながらフォームのチェックなどをしていました。
サニブラウン選手は「宮崎県は暑いが、山や海から心地よい風が吹き、いい練習を積めている。コンディションは上がってきているが、まだ頭で思い描いているものに体が追いついてこない。あまり時間はないが、徐々に歯車をかみ合わせて走りにつなげていきたい」と話しました。
そのうえで日本選手権について「しっかりと明確に目標を持って1本1本を走り、そのあとの世界選手権につなげられればいい」と話していました。
宮崎の子どもたちが見学 写真撮影やサインも
サニブラウン選手が23日に練習したのは、都城市の山之口運動公園に整備された新しい競技場で、ことし4月にオープンしました。
この競技場では、再来年、宮崎県で開かれる国民スポーツ大会と全国障害者スポーツ大会で開会式や陸上競技などが行われます。
23日は、午前10時の練習を前に都城市の担当者などからサニブラウン選手に地元特産の地鶏などが贈られたほか、およそ350人の子どもたちなどがスタンドで練習を見学しました。
練習のあとには撮影会が行われ、サニブラウン選手は、子どもたち一人ひとりの肩に手をかけて写真におさまり、帰り際には笑顔でサインに応じていました。
宮崎市の小学6年の女子児童は「私も陸上をやっていて、練習で“もも上げ走”をしますが、サニブラウン選手はキレがすごくて、同じ練習とは思えませんでした。宮崎に来てくれてとてもうれしいです」と話していました。
串間市の中学2年の男子生徒は「とてもかっこよかったし、オーラがすごかったです。走りを間近で見ることができて、とてもうれしかったです」と話していました。
