静岡 伊東 「まくら投げ」大会 全国から48チームが熱戦
「まくら投げ」をスポーツとして楽しむ大会が、温泉のまち、静岡県伊東市で行われ、全国から集まった48チームが熱戦を繰り広げました。
伊東市の高校生が考案した「まくら投げ」の競技の大会は、伊東市と地元の観光協会が毎年行っています。
13回目となることしは、北海道から沖縄県までの48チーム、およそ400人が浴衣姿で集まりました。
1チームは8人で、制限時間内に相手チームの大将に先に枕を当てたチームが1セットを獲得し、2セット先取すれば勝利となります。
選手たちは、開始の合図とともに、布団で寝ていた状態から一斉に起き上がり、相手をめがけて枕を次々に投げました。
そして、布団を使って味方の大将を守りながら、相手チームの大将に枕を命中させると、大きな歓声があがっていました。
東京から参加した男性は「初めて参加しましたが、投げる、守る、寝ると、忙しくて、とても難しかったです」と話していました。
大学の同級生などと参加した女性は「初めての参加で迫力があって圧倒されてしまいましたが、1試合行って課題もたくさん見つかったので優勝を目指して頑張ります」と話していました。
大会は、23日に決勝トーナメント戦が行われます。
