AIグラス「Ray-Ban Meta」が度付き眼鏡に　新色や新機能も

Metaは3月31日(米国時間)、度付きレンズに対応したAIグラス「Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics (Gen 2)」と「Ray-Ban Meta Scriber Optics (Gen 2)」を発表した。米国で予約受け付けを開始し、4月14日から米国および一部海外市場で発売する。価格は499ドル(約79,000円)からで、日本での発売は未定。 同社のAIグラスはこれまでも、度付きレンズへの交換には対応していたが、新製品は度付き眼鏡としての利用や終日着用を前提とするユーザー向けに投入する。 Blayzerは長方形デザインでStandardとLargeの2サイズ、Scriberはより丸みのあるフレームデザインを採用する。いずれも、オーバーエクステンションヒンジや交換式ノーズパッド、眼鏡店で調整可能なテンプルチップを備える。 また、「Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2)」や「Oakley Meta Vanguard/HSTN」向けに新色のフレームやレンズ構成も追加する。 ソフトウェア面では、音声入力や写真撮影で食事内容を記録できるハンズフリーの栄養記録機能を追加するほか、WhatsAppメッセージの要約やリコール機能を早期アクセスプログラムで提供する。 「Meta Ray-Ban Display」向けには、指で任意の面に文字を書いて返信できる「Neural Handwriting」も数週間以内に展開。今後、レンズ内ディスプレイの操作内容や周囲の景色などを組み合わせたディスプレイ録画機能や、歩行者ナビゲーション機能なども追加する。 同社は、今後数カ月で新たなAIグラスを展開予定としている。
