赤澤経済再生相 米へ出発 G7にあわせ首脳間合意視野に交渉調整
アメリカの関税措置をめぐり、赤澤経済再生担当大臣は13日午前、ワシントンに向けて日本を出発しました。
G7サミットにあわせて首脳間で合意を得ることを引き続き視野に入れ、ギリギリまで閣僚交渉を行いたいとして、アメリカ側と調整しています。
アメリカ・トランプ政権の関税措置をめぐり、赤澤経済再生担当大臣は13日午前10時半すぎ、羽田空港を出発しました。
交渉のためのアメリカ訪問は、4週連続6回目です。
来週のカナダでのG7サミット＝主要7か国首脳会議にあわせて、首脳間で合意を得ることを引き続き視野に入れ、ギリギリまで閣僚交渉を行いたいとして、アメリカ側と調整しています。
赤澤大臣は、出発に先立って記者団に対し「G7サミットで、石破総理大臣とトランプ大統領が会うのを互いに楽しみにしているということで一致しているので、必ず首脳会談があると思う。その時に関税の話題が出ることは十分ありえる」と述べました。
そのうえで「一連の措置の見直しを強く求めることは変わっておらず、しっかり国益を守る。日米の利益や利害が合致するところでベストな合意を作るため、全力をあげる」と強調しました。
赤澤大臣は、日本時間の13日夜遅くに現地に到着する予定で、閣僚交渉で、首脳間の合意に道筋を付けられるかが焦点です。
