“就職氷河期世代”支援強化へ初会合 住宅確保など支援策検討
いわゆる「就職氷河期」世代への支援を強化するための関係閣僚会議が初会合を開き、石破総理大臣は氷河期世代が今後、高齢化することを見据え、資産形成や住宅の確保などの支援策を検討するよう求めました。
就職氷河期世代 “年齢重ねても賃金上がらず 年金に不安”
総理大臣官邸で開かれた初会合には、石破総理大臣や担当する三原大臣らが出席しました。
この中で石破総理大臣は昨年度までの5年間、集中的に行ってきた支援について、「31万人の処遇改善がなされるなど着実に成果が得られてきたが、なおさまざまな困難を抱えている方々が大勢いる。ニーズに応じて適切かつ効果的な支援を行うことは待ったなしの課題だ」と述べました。
その上で、氷河期世代が今後、高齢化することを見据え、資産形成や住宅の確保などの支援策を検討するよう求めました。
さらに、リスキリング＝学び直しの支援拡充や、公務員や教員への積極的な採用、それに農業や建設業、物流業の就労拡大などに取り組み、こうした施策を夏にまとめる「骨太の方針」に盛り込むよう指示しました。
福岡厚労相「わが国の将来に関わる重要な課題」
福岡厚生労働大臣は25日の閣議後の会見で「本日の関係閣僚会議において、総理からは就労処遇改善に向けた支援、社会参加に向けた段階的な支援、高齢期を見据えた支援という三本柱に沿って、関連政策の充実強化に向けた検討を行うよう指示があった」と述べました。
その上で「就職氷河期世代の方々への対応は、わが国の将来に関わる重要な課題だというふうに認識をしている。これまで取り組んできた就労や社会参加の支援に加えて今後は老後に対しての不安やいわゆる『8050問題』にも視野を広げ、従来の取り組みの成果や閣僚会議における議論も踏まえながら、必要な対策を検討して参りたい」と述べました。
