マカオ立法会議員選挙 “政府に批判的な候補者” 資格取り消し
中国の特別行政区、マカオの議会にあたる立法会の議員選挙が行われました。政府に批判的とされた候補者は事前の審査で立候補資格が取り消されていて、香港と同様に中国による統制が強まっています。
マカオの立法会は33議席のうち14議席が市民の直接選挙で選ばれ、14日、投票が行われました。
マカオでは去年、選挙法が改正され、事実上、中国の影響下にある委員会が候補者を事前に審査するようになりました。
今回の選挙では「政府に忠誠を尽くしていない」などとして、12人が立候補資格を取り消され、前回の選挙では当選した穏健的な立場とされる議員らの立候補も認められませんでした。
この結果、地元メディアによりますと、有権者が直接、投票できる候補者の数は71人で、これまでで最も少なかったということです。
去年、中国本土出身者として初めて政府トップの行政長官に就任した岑浩輝氏はみずから投票したあと「立法会の議員は『愛国者によるマカオ統治』の原則を体現しなければならない」と述べたということです。
マカオではこれまでも民主派の影響力は限定的でしたが、同じように「一国二制度」が導入されている香港とともに中国による統制が強まっています。
