「ふくたち」収穫盛ん“春の訪れ告げる野菜” 秋田 羽後町
春の訪れを告げる野菜として秋田県の南部で親しまれている、「ふくたち」の収穫が羽後町で盛んに行われています。
「ふくたち」は、通常夏にまく白菜の種を秋にまいて冬に成長させたもので、甘みがあり葉や茎が柔らかく食べやすいのが特徴で、2月下旬から4月にかけて収穫のピークを迎えることから、「春を告げる野菜」として秋田県の南部を中心に親しまれています。
秋田県羽後町で15年ほど前から栽培している高橋和幸さんの農業用ハウスでは、30センチ近くまで成長した「ふくたち」を収穫する作業が行われていました。
ことしの生育状況は去年12月の気温が高かった影響でやや遅れているものの、味は例年どおり甘みがあるということです。
ふくたちの産地にある「JAうご」によりますと、今シーズンはおよそ19トンの出荷を見込んでいて、ほとんどが秋田県内のスーパーなどで販売されるということです。
ふくたちを栽培している高橋さんは「甘みがあってクセのない味なのでおひたしにしても炒めてもおいしく食べられます。大人も子どもも春を告げる野菜を楽しんでもらいたいです」と話していました。
