新型スバル アウトバック登場!!! もはや“レガシィ”ではなく“フォレスター”か!?
内外装のデザインを刷新！

4月16日、スバルの北米法人は、新型「アウトバック」を発表した。
初代から数えて7代目となるアウトバックは、内外装のデザインが大きく変わった。
直線基調のエクステリアは、「フォレスター」といったSUVを彷彿とさせる。初代から継承し続けたクロスオーバータイプとは一線を画すデザインとなった。フロントまわりは大型のフロントグリルや薄型のヘッドライトが目をひく。ボディサイドには、樹脂製のホイールアーチが、悪路走破性の高さを強調する。
新型は全高がアップしたことで、荷室容量も拡大。最大360kgの荷重にも耐えられるルーフレールも用意するなどアウトドアでの楽しみ方を拡げる。
インテリアは、インパネ上部に設置された12.1インチのタッチスクリーンが特徴だ。ワイヤレスのApple CarPlayとAndroid Autoも備わる。高速プロセッサー搭載によって、入力レスポンスも向上した。エアコンはスイッチ式とし、操作性を高める。
メーターは、12.3インチのデジタルタイプ。前方の道路状況と周囲の車両表示するモードも用意。シートは、長距離移動の披露を軽減する、新形状を採用した。
搭載するエンジンは、自然吸気ないしはターボチャージャー付きの2.5リッター水平対向4気筒エンジン。前者は180ps、後者は260psの最高出力を発揮する。いずれもトランスミッションはCVTで、全輪駆動だ。
悪路走破性を高めるXモードは、ステアリングホイールに操作スイッチを設けたことで、操作性が高まった。
運転支援システムは、ハンズオフ走行も可能とした最新の「アイサイト」を搭載する。
新型アウトバックは2025年後半に発売開始予定。日本導入は未定だ。
