国民民主党の代表選挙は7日、立候補の受け付けが行われ、現職の玉木代表と当選2回の橋本幹彦衆議院議員の2人が届け出ました。来月開かれる臨時党大会で投開票が行われ、新たな代表が選出されます。

来月末に玉木代表の任期が満了することに伴う、国民民主党の代表選挙は7日午前、国会内で立候補の受け付けが行われました。

そして届け出順に、当選2回の橋本幹彦衆議院議員と現職の玉木代表の2人の陣営が推薦人名簿などを添えて届け出を行いました。

2020年の結党以来、代表を務めている玉木氏に、元自衛官で30歳の橋本氏が挑む構図で、政権与党との向き合い方に加え、党組織や人材育成のあり方などをめぐって論戦が交わされる見通しです。

今回の代表選挙は、党所属の国会議員53人と地方議員およそ380人、それに全国の党員・サポーターに割り当てられるポイントの合計で争われます。

代表選挙は今月22日に告示され、来月6日に開かれる臨時党大会で投開票が行われ、新たな代表が選出されます。
