日本とケニアの外相 OSA活用含め安全保障協力の強化で一致

茂木外務大臣は訪問先のケニアでムダバディ外相と会談し、日本が防衛装備品を提供する枠組みの活用を含めた安全保障協力の強化で一致するとともに、国際秩序の維持・強化に共に取り組みたいと呼びかけました。

ケニアを訪れている茂木外務大臣は日本時間の3日午後、首都ナイロビでムダバディ外相と会談しました。

この中で茂木大臣は、安倍元総理大臣が「自由で開かれたインド太平洋」をケニアで提唱してから10年になることを踏まえ、「自由や法の支配などの原則を共有する重要なパートナーのケニアとの関係をさらに推進していきたい」と述べました。

その上で日本が同志国の軍隊に防衛装備品などを提供するOSA＝「政府安全保障能力強化支援」の活用を含め、安全保障協力を強化していきたいと伝え、OSAの円滑な実施に向けて協力していくことで一致しました。

また、東アフリカ最大級のモンバサ港などの開発に引き続き官民で取り組む考えを伝えました。

そして「国際社会が諸課題に直面する中、日本とアフリカの絆はかつてなく重要だ」と述べ、国際秩序の維持・強化に共に取り組みたいと呼びかけました。
