民営化目指す「商工中金」政府保有の株式 自己取得を検討
来年6月までの民営化を目指す政府系金融機関の「商工中金」は、政府が保有する株式の自己取得を検討すると発表しました。ことし7月に行われた株式の入札の結果が低調だったためで、取得価格などを今後議論することにしています。
政府系金融機関の商工中金を民営化するための法律が去年の国会で成立したことを受けて、政府は来年6月までの民営化を目指し、保有する46％余りの株式の売却手続きに入っています。
ただ、ことし7月に行われた一般競争入札で落札された株式は、売却予定のおよそ13％にとどまりました。
入札が低調だった理由として、政府は株式の売却先が中小企業や商工会議所に限定されるなど制限が多いことを挙げています。
政府は改めて入札を行うことも検討していますが、民営化までの期限が迫る中、商工中金は政府保有株が売れ残った場合の対応として、株式の自己取得の検討を決めたということです。
ただ、株式の取得には一定の資金が必要になるため、商工中金は株主や経営への影響を考慮しながら、今後、取得価格などの議論を進めていくことにしています。
