Amazonは、Kindle電子書籍リーダー向けのBluetoothリモコン「Kindle Click」を11月11日に発売する。価格は5,180円。2024年以降に発売されたKindle電子書籍リーダーに対応し、ページ送りやページ戻し、画面の明るさ調整などを手元から操作できる。
Kindle Clickは、BluetoothでKindleとペアリングして利用する専用リモコン。Kindle本体に触れることなく、ページを進めたり戻したりできる。ベッドやソファなどにKindleを固定して読む場合のほか、飛行機内やトレッドミルでの読書などを想定している。
本体には大きな2つのボタンを搭載。ページ送りとページ戻しに利用でき、それぞれにどちらの操作を割り当てるかはKindle側の設定から変更できる。画面を見たまま手探りでも操作しやすい形状としている。
側面には明るさ調整用のボタンを備え、Kindleのメニューを開くことなく画面輝度を変更可能。2つのボタンを同時に押すことで、Kindleをスリープ状態にする機能も備える。
本体は左右どちらの手でも持ちやすいよう、人間工学に基づいて設計。編み込みタイプのリストストラップも付属する。
電源は内蔵リチウムイオンバッテリーで、1回のフル充電で数週間利用できる。充電端子はUSB Type-C。USB-Cケーブルおよび電源アダプターは別売。本体サイズは11.17×3.45×1.13cm、重量は37.5g。
