オーラリーとニューバランスのコラボレーション再び──GQ新着スニーカー

オーラリーはニューバランスと再び協業し、ニューバランスの最新作「ワープドランナー」のコラボレーションを発表。4月18日(木)よりオンラインストアおよび世界の限定店舗で販売する。
2023年夏に登場したニューバランスのワープドランナーは、伝統的なニューバランスのデザインを踏襲したレトロランニングモデルを未来的に解釈したオーバルシェイプが特徴。反発弾性に優れたミッドソール「フューエルセル(FuelCell)」の現代のランニングテクノロジーを搭載し、それを融合させながら、モダンで伝統的なデザインと、未来的な要素を組み込んだモデルだ。
硬度の高い素材を中足部内側に搭載し、着地した際の内側への倒れこみを防ぐメディアルスタビリティポストで、安定感のある履き心地を誇る。また、ヒールの誇張されたクラッシュパッドデザインを備えたソフトな造形は、ミッドソールを包み込むような 反り返ったアウトソールデザインの波打つようなユニークなトレッドパターンが目を引く。
今回のコラボレーションでは、オーラリーによってワープドランナー の素材やカラーリング、ディティールをアップデート。ヌバック や メッシュ 、そして上質なスエードを巧みにミックスし、絶妙に異なる複数のカラーを用いてワントーンの中に奥行きを表現し、オーラリーらしいミニマルなアッパーデザインがデザインを更に美しく際立たせている。
ニューバランスの最高峰ランニングテクノロジーであるフューエルセルを用いた未来的なラインのミッドソールに対して、アウトソールにはワックス加工を施し、相反するヴィンテージスニーカーのディティールを表現している。
