ことし4月の生活保護の申請件数は全国で2万861件で、前の年の同じ月と比べて1.3％増加し、直近10年の同じ月では2番目に多くなっています。

厚生労働省によりますと、ことし4月に申請された生活保護の件数は、全国で2万861件で、前の年の同じ月と比べて260件、率にして1.3％増加し、直近10年の同じ月では2番目に多くなっています。

また、生活保護の受給をことし4月に新たに始めたのは1万8263世帯で、前の年の同じ月と比べて64世帯、率にして0.4％増加しました。

一方、生活保護を受給している世帯は164万980世帯で、前の年の同じ月と比べて2464世帯、率にして0.1％減少しました。

厚生労働省は「今後も、生活保護が必要な人に速やかに保護の決定がなされるよう、取り組んでいきたい」とコメントしています。
