台湾 頼清徳総統 武器売却めぐりアメリカとの協議に応じる考え
アメリカのトランプ大統領が米中首脳会談のあと武器の売却をめぐって台湾側と協議する姿勢を見せたことについて、台湾の頼清徳総統は「機会があれば、台湾社会の声を伝える責任がある」と述べ、協議に応じる考えを示しました。
アメリカのトランプ大統領は、先週行われた米中首脳会談のあと、台湾に武器を売却するかどうかをめぐり「私が話さなければならないのは台湾を率いている人だ」と述べ、台湾側と協議する姿勢を見せました。
これについて、台湾の頼清徳総統は、20日、就任から2年となるのにあわせて行った記者会見で「台湾とアメリカの意思疎通のルートはこれまでずっと順調だ。しかし、もし機会があれば、私には台湾社会の声を伝える責任がある」と述べ、協議に応じる考えを示しました。
そのうえで「中国が東シナ海や南シナ海で軍備を拡張し続け、軍事演習は西太平洋にまで及びインド太平洋地域の緊張を高めている」と指摘し、アメリカからの武器が台湾海峡の平和と安定を維持するために必要だとして、武器売却の継続を求めました。
また、頼総統は防衛力の強化を目指して提出した特別予算の規模が野党の反対で4割近く縮小されたことを受けて、防衛予算を積み増して無人機などを調達する方針を示しました。
