愛媛で田植え始まる “コメ売って”すでに相次ぐ 価格高騰で
愛媛県内有数の米どころ、宇和島市三間町では早くも田植えが始まっています。
コメの価格高騰が続く中、生産者にはすでに予約の問い合わせが相次いでいます。
宇和島市三間町では温暖な気候を生かしてほかの産地より早く収穫できるようコメを育てる農家が多く、毎年この時期に田植えが始まります。
生産者の1人、松本高秋さん（65）は高齢化した周辺の農家の田んぼも含め10ヘクタールの田んぼでコメ作りをしていて、7日は家族や従業員と15センチほどのコシヒカリの苗を田植え機にセットし植えていました。
松本さんによりますと、コメの品薄を懸念してことしは田植え前から収穫後のコメを売ってほしいという問い合わせが県内外の個人客から相次いでいるということです。
松本さんは肥料などの生産コストが上昇し厳しい経営が続いてきただけに生産者にとって一定程度の高値は必要だとしながらも、消費者の買い控えなどが起きないか懸念しています。
松本さんは「個人のお客さんで1年分買いたいという問い合わせなどが寄せられています。品薄や価格高騰で消費者には迷惑がかかるけど生産者からするとある程度価格は上がってくれる方が助かります」と話していました。
宇和島市では来月下旬ごろまで田植えが続き、お盆の時期に稲刈りが行われます。
