維新 代表選へ 馬場代表は立候補しない考えを明らかに
日本維新の会は議席を減らした先の衆議院選挙の結果を受けて代表選挙を行うことになりました。馬場代表は党が再スタートを切るのが肝要だとして、代表選挙には立候補しない考えを明らかにしました。
日本維新の会は先の衆議院選挙の結果を受けて代表選挙を行うかどうか、党の規約に基づき、今月3日から6日にかけて所属の国会議員や地方議員らに電子投票で意向を確認しました。
そして投票で賛成が多数となったことを踏まえ、オンラインで開いた党の常任役員会で今後代表選挙を実施することを決めました。
こうした中、馬場代表は旧ツイッターの「X」に「私はこの代表選には今般の衆議院選挙の結果を受け『出馬しない』ことを決意致しました。人心を一新し日本維新の会が再スタートを切る事が肝要であると思います」などと投稿しました。
日本維新の会は先の衆議院選挙で160人以上の候補者を擁立しましたが、獲得したのは38議席で選挙前から6議席減らし、党内から馬場代表らの辞任を求める声が出ていました。
