みどりの窓口とNewDaysを一体化 中野駅南口に新拠点「NAKANO stand」
JR東日本とJR東日本クロスステーションは、中野駅南口改札外にみどりの窓口やNewDaysなどが一体になった新拠点「NAKANO stand」を6月に開業する。

1月に先行移設したみどりの窓口に加え、中野駅南口にあるNewDaysが拡張移転し、6月に一体空間として生まれ変わる。さらに、沿線地域や地方の魅力を発信する「standスペース」も備えており、イベントの実施やアート作品の展示を行なう。
まちと、暮らしと、地域・地方と“つながる”新拠点としており、デザインコンセプトは、中野の個性的な街並みに合う「レトロモダン」。どこか懐かしさを感じられる素材を使いながら、洗練された空間を計画することで、立ち寄りやすい施設とした。
NewDaysは既存の中野駅南口店と比較し、規模を約3倍に拡張。人気の駅弁や日本各地のおいしいものを随時取り揃える。
standスペースでは、中央線沿線のまちにフォーカスした情報発信メディア「TOWNSCAPE」を構え、写真や特集記事、プロダクト、MAPを通じてまちの風景や文化の情報を発信。初回は「中野エリア」をテーマに発信する。
商品展開は、沿線の商品のほか、高速バスを活用したトランク輸送で地域特産品や朝採れ等の新鮮な商品を用意。商品はNewDaysのレジで購入できる。
展示されているアート作品は不定期で入れ替わり、気に入った作品はJRE MALL「東京感動線ショップ」にて購入可能。初回企画展示では、ライバー音楽ユニット「MKLNtic(マカロンティック)」の「鹿乃まほろ」と「ろん」をモチーフに、鉄道や中野を舞台としたアート作品を展示・販売する予定。
営業時間は、NewDaysが6時30分～22時。みどりの窓口が9時30分～19時。
