山口 防府天満宮で「梅まつり」始まる
梅の名所として知られる山口県防府市の防府天満宮で恒例の「梅まつり」が始まりました。
学問の神様、菅原道真をまつる防府天満宮では、道真が好んだとされる梅の木およそ1100本が植えられ、この時期に「梅まつり」を行っています。
「梅まつり」でははじめに本殿で、地元の小中学生10人が薄いピンクの衣装を着て、優雅な舞を奉納しました。
このあと、梅酒づくりで使われた梅の実が「出世梅」として数量限定で配られ、訪れた人たちが、列に並んで受け取っていました。
防府天満宮によりますと、境内の梅は、最近の寒さなどで開花が遅れ、まだ数輪しか咲いていませんが、来月上旬までには、見頃を迎えそうだということです。
近くに住む70代の男性は「これから気温も上がって早く咲いてほしいと思います」と話していました。
