中国南部の深※センで11月、APEC＝アジア太平洋経済協力会議の首脳会議が開催されるのを前に、中国本土と香港を結ぶ新たな出入境施設が完成しました。

中国南部の深※センと香港の間にある出入境施設が建て替えられ、12日から運用が始まりました。

中国メディアによりますと、施設の面積はおよそ69万平方メートルと、陸路の単体の出入境施設としては世界最大だということで、24時間稼働し1日に20万人が通過可能だとしています。

中国本土と香港を往来する際は、これまで出境と入境の手続きを双方の施設で別々に行う必要がありましたが、新たな施設では手続きを1か所で行えるシステムが初めて導入されました。

これにより、通過に必要な時間がこれまでの30分から5分に短縮されるということです。

深※センから香港を訪れた人は「この施設ができるのをずっと待っていました。通勤で利用する人はかなり時間を短縮できると思います」と話していました。

深※センでは11月、APEC＝アジア太平洋経済協力会議の首脳会議が開催される予定で、アジアの主要なハブ空港となっている香港を経由して深※センに向かう人が増えると見込まれています。
