厚生労働省と文部科学省は、ことしの春に学校を卒業した人の就職率について、全国の大学や短大など112校、あわせて6250人を抽出して調査しました。
それによりますとことし4月1日の時点での大学生の就職率は、98.0％で、去年と同じでした。
就職率は、これまで最も高かったのがおととしの98.1％で、ことしも高い水準となっています。
男女別に見ると、男子大学生は97.5％と去年より0.1ポイント低くなりましたが、女子大学生は98.7％と0.2ポイント高くなりました。
また、短大生は97.4％と去年より0.4ポイント高く、高専生は99.2％と去年より0.4ポイント低くなりました。
上野厚生労働大臣は、閣議後の記者会見で「採用活動に積極的な企業が多く、学生が就職しやすい『売手市場』が続いていると考えている。一方で、未就職で卒業された方には、ハローワークなどで担当者制によるきめ細かな就職支援を行っていきたい」と述べました。
