豚熱の全頭処分を見直しへ 改正家畜伝染病予防法が成立

豚の感染症「CSF＝豚熱」が発生した際、農場内すべての豚を処分する対応を見直し、事前にワクチンを接種していた豚は処分の対象から外すなどとした、改正家畜伝染病予防法が15日の参議院本会議で可決・成立しました。

豚熱はウイルスによる豚の感染症で人には感染しませんが、これまでは発生すると感染拡大を防ぐため農場で飼育するすべての豚の処分が義務づけられ、農家や処分にあたる作業員への負担が大きいと指摘されていました。

15日の参議院本会議で可決・成立した改正家畜伝染病予防法では、発生に伴う全頭処分の対応を見直します。

ワクチンを接種して一定期間たった豚を処分の対象から外したうえで、子豚や症状があって検査で陽性となった豚などに処分を限るとしています。

あわせて改正法では、おととし以降、国内で感染が確認されている牛の感染症「ランピースキン病」を「家畜伝染病」に位置づけ、感染した牛の処分や緊急のワクチンの接種などを義務づけることも新たに定めました。
