「アイスコーヒー指数」開始 “飲み頃”を気象データで可視化
日本気象協会は、天気予報専門メディア「tenki.jp」で新たな生活指数「アイスコーヒー指数」の提供を開始した。提供期間は8月23日までの予定で、全国の市区町村ごとに10日先までのアイスコーヒー指数を掲載する。

「アイスコーヒー指数」は、冷たいコーヒーを飲みたくなる度合いを0から100までの11ランクで数値化したもの。ネスレ日本が有する「アイスコーヒーの飲用シーンに関する知見」と日本気象協会が持つ「気象予報情報、気象データに基づくコンテンツ化の技術」を組み合わせて開発された。視覚的に分かりやすい5段階のアイコンと、アイスコーヒーの楽しみ方を紹介するコメントも併記される。
指数は、tenki.jpのWebサイトおよびスマートフォンアプリで公開され、利用者は天気予報と合わせて確認できる。スマートフォンとPCの両方に対応している。
日本気象協会ではこれまでにも「洗濯指数」や「紫外線指数」など、生活と直結する気象情報を提供している。
