米検察 カーク氏銃撃の22歳容疑者を殺人などの疑いで訴追
アメリカのトランプ大統領に近い保守系の若手政治活動家が銃で殺害された事件で、検察は、22歳の男の容疑者を殺人などの疑いで訴追し、死刑を求める方針を示しました。
アメリカ西部ユタ州の大学で、今月10日トランプ大統領に近い保守系の若手政治活動家、チャーリー・カーク氏が銃で殺害された事件で、捜査当局はタイラー・ロビンソン容疑者（22）を逮捕しました。
地元の検察は16日、記者会見を開き、ロビンソン容疑者を殺人などの疑いで訴追したことを明らかにしました。
そのうえで、死刑を求めていく方針を表明しました。
検察によりますと、容疑者は事件の後、両親に対して犯行をほのめかしたうえで、理由について「あの男は憎しみを広めすぎている」と述べ、カーク氏に対する嫌悪感を示したということです。
この後、容疑者はユタ州の地方裁判所にオンライン形式で出廷し、名前を聞かれると、はっきりとした声で答え、訴追された内容について静かに聞いていました。
FBI ネット上の交友関係も捜査
これに先立ってFBI＝連邦捜査局のパテル長官は16日、アメリカ議会上院の公聴会で、容疑者のほかにも事件に関与した人物がいなかったか議員から問われ、容疑者が参加していたインターネット上のコミュニティーの参加者を捜査していることを明らかにしました。
対象は20人以上にのぼり、FBIは1人ずつ追跡捜査を行っているとしています。
