バレーボール 中田久美氏 SAGA久光スプリングスHCに復帰へ
バレーボールのSVリーグ、SAGA久光スプリングスのヘッドコーチに女子日本代表の元監督の中田久美氏が復帰し、9年ぶりにチームを率いることになりました。
SAGA久光スプリングスは9シーズンにわたってチームを率いた酒井新悟ヘッドコーチが5月末で退団していて、チームは2日、後任に中田久美氏の就任を発表しました。
中田新ヘッドコーチは59歳。
史上最年少の15歳で日本代表入りしてセッターとして活躍し、1984年のロサンゼルスオリンピックでは銅メダル獲得に貢献しました。
その後、2012年に当時の久光製薬スプリングスの監督に就任し、プレミアリーグで3回、全日本選手権で4回の優勝を果たしました。
2016年から2021年までバレーボール女子日本代表の監督を務めましたが、東京オリンピックでは予選リーグで敗退して退任し、その後はバレーボールとは一時、距離を取っていました。
中田新ヘッドコーチは「SAGA久光スプリングスは長きにわたり日本女子バレーボール界をけん引してきた誇り高いクラブです。歴史と伝統を大切にしながら時代にふさわしい新たなチーム像を描いていきたいと考えています」とコメントしています。
中田氏は4日、鳥栖市内で就任の記者会見をして抱負を述べるということです。
