3月18、19日に東京ドームで開催される、メジャーリーグ、シカゴ・カブスとロサンゼルス・ドジャースのシーズン開幕戦シリーズ「MLB Tokyo Series by Guggenheim」。日本で開幕戦が開催されるのは2019年以来6年ぶりで、大谷翔平、山本由伸、佐々木郎希が所属するドジャースと、今永昇太、鈴木誠也が所属するカブスの対戦とあり、チケット争奪戦もヒートアップ。販売開始から即完売となった。
残念ながら現地に行くことが叶わなかった人もまだチャンスはある。地上波やCS中継、配信サービスのほか、TOHOシネマズやイオンシネマなど、全国128の映画館では、オリジナルの実況解説を織り交ぜながら中継するライブ・ビューイングも開催。日テレジータスでは、ドジャース・大谷翔平や、カブス・鈴木誠也のバッティング練習など、日米球界のトップ選手たちの緊張感あふれる試合前の様子を生中継する予定だ。
このビッグイベントをどこで見るのか？ 自宅で家族とテレビ観戦はもちろん、ビールやポップコーンを片手に映画館でライブビューイング、移動中にスマホ観戦、あるいは、大画面のスポーツバーで声援を送るもよし。思い思いのスタイルで2025年MLB東京シリーズを観戦しよう！
