OpenAIは31日(米国時間)、ChatGPTの広告サービス「ChatGPT Ads」の年間売上見込み額が、10億ドル(約1,600億円)に達したと発表した。サービス開始から200日足らずで、大きく伸びており、世界的に拡大。31日からは、インド、ヨーロッパ、中東、北アフリカに拡大し、広告主は、Ads Managerを通じてChatGPT広告を直接購入できるようになる。 ChatGPT Ads(ChatGPT広告)は、ChatGPTの無料版と月額1,400円のChatGPT Goの利用者が対象。ChatGPTの回答にあわせて、回答に影響しない範囲で、広告を表示する。今回の拡大により、パイロット段階から「グローバルプラットフォーム」として本格展開。OpenAIでは、広告を、コンシューマー向けサブスク、エンタープライズ向けサービス、APIと並ぶ、「多角的なビジネスモデルの柱の一つ」としている。今後、ChatGPT Adsをさらに多くの市場に展開し、新たなフォーマット、広告目標、購入オプション、測定機能を導入していく。
