主食用の輸入米の入札 今月中に前倒しへ 農水省
高騰が続くコメの価格の引き下げに向けて、農林水産省は主食用として輸入しているコメの入札を例年より前倒しし、6月中に実施する方向で最終的な調整を進めていることが関係者への取材でわかりました。
最初の入札の対象は3万トンとみられます。
政府は「ミニマムアクセス」と呼ばれる仕組みで、毎年およそ77万トンのコメを関税をかけず義務的に輸入していて、このうち10万トンは主食用として民間に入札で販売されています。
関係者によりますと、農林水産省はコメの価格の高騰が続く中、比較的安い主食用の輸入米を早めに市場に流通させることでコメの値下がりにつなげようと、例年9月に行っていた入札の時期を前倒しする方針を固めました。
6月中に実施する方向で最終的な調整を進めているということです。
最初の入札の対象は10万トンのうちの3万トンとみられます。

小泉農林水産大臣は、12日午後、記者団の取材に対し、高騰が続くコメの価格の引き下げに向けて、主食用として輸入しているコメの入札を例年より前倒しし、今月に実施する方針を明らかにしました。
主食用10万トンのうち、最初の入札の対象は3万トンを予定していて、その後も毎月、入札を実施したいという考えを示しました。
