グーグル、AI動画編集「Vids」に新機能 「あのー」を自動削除
Googleは28日(米国時間)、AI搭載の動画編集ツール「Google Vids」の新機能を提供開始した。画像とテキスト指示だけで8秒間のサウンド付き動画を生成する機能や、AIアバターがスクリプトを読み上げるプレゼン動画の作成機能が追加された。また、自分で録画をする場合、「えー」、「あのー」といったフィラーや無音部分を自動でトリミングする機能も加わった。
今後のアップデートとして、9月にはGoogle Meetと同様のノイズキャンセリングやフィルター、外観調整などの機能が導入される。第4四半期には、横型フォーマットだけでなく縦型や正方形の動画出力にも対応する。
新機能の提供にあわせて、Google VidsはこれまでWorkspaceやGeminiユーザーに限定されていたが、GeminiによるAI機能を除いた編集機能はすべてのユーザーに無料で開放された。
また、同社はGoogle Vidsの利用促進を図るため、同ツールの活用法を紹介するチュートリアル動画シリーズ「Vids on Vids」をYouTubeに公開した。
