ソフトバンクと東大、業界横断でAIデータを活用する「xIPFコンソーシアム」
ソフトバンクと東京大学は、関係企業らと連携し、業界横断でAIデータを活用するデータ連携基盤の社会実装を目指す「一般社団法人xIPFコンソーシアム(仮称)」を2025年度内に設立する。設立に先立ち、10月7日に「xIPFコンソーシアム準備会」を立ち上げる。
AIが多様かつ膨大なデータを生み出す時代には、産業や企業の枠を超えて、適切かつ安全に相互活用できる仕組みが求められる。企業や組織ごとに管理されているデータを、共通の基盤で連携させて有効に活用するためには、単にデータを保存・処理するだけでなく、データの意味や文脈を理解できるように整理する仕組みや、AIがその仕組みを適切に活用できるようにする必要もある。
本コンソーシアムでは、AIによるデータの利活用を実現するデータスペースの社会実装を目的とし、データスペースの構築と運用に関する技術開発に取り組む。産業界を主体とした異業種間でのデータ連携を促進することで、持続可能で競争力のある社会基盤の構築に貢献する。
これにより、日本の産業や社会が抱える複雑な課題の解決や、モビリティー、エネルギー、小売りなどの幅広い分野で、AIを活用した新たなサービスや価値が創出されることが期待されるとしている。
準備会を立ち上げるとともに、キックオフイベントを開催。産業界や自治体、研究機関などにコンソーシアムの構想を広く発信し、共創の輪を広げる活動を行なう。
