時事通信社の20代のカメラマンが2026年2月、プロ野球のキャンプを取材中に練習球を無断で持ち帰り、フリマサイトで売却していたことが分かり、時事通信社は球団側に謝罪したことを明らかにしました。

時事通信社によりますと、2026年2月、大阪支社に所属していた20代の男性カメラマンが、沖縄県で行われた阪神、DeNA、ヤクルト、楽天の春季キャンプを取材したときに球場に落ちている練習球を無断で拾って持ち帰り、フリマサイトで売却していたということです。

4球団の練習球53個と、NPB＝日本野球機構の練習球1個をあわせて5万940円で売却したほか、4球団から報道陣に配られた帽子もあわせて9099円で売却していたということです。

10月上旬に、会社に情報が寄せられて調査した結果、カメラマンが事実関係を認めたということで、会社では自宅待機とし、厳正に対処するとしています。

時事通信社の境克彦社長は「報道に携わる者として決して許されない行為で、4球団をはじめ球界関係者の皆さまに多大なるご迷惑をおかけし、深くおわび申し上げます。本件を深刻に受け止めており、再発防止に全力で取り組んでまいります」とコメントしています。
