dアカウントとd払い、「iPhoneのマイナンバーカード」による本人確認
NTTドコモは、dアカウントの本人確認機能「かんたん本人確認」および「d払い」アプリにおいて、「iPhoneのマイナンバーカード」を用いた本人確認に対応した。対象はiOS 18.5以降を搭載したiPhoneで、Appleウォレットにマイナンバーカードを登録している必要がある。

これまで、iPhoneで本人確認を行なう場合は、実物のマイナンバーカードを端末にかざして読み取る必要があったが、新たにAppleウォレット上のマイナンバーカードを使うことで、より簡単かつ安全に本人確認を完了できるようになった。
dアカウントではこの本人確認を行なうことで、「dポイントクラブ会員統合」や「dポイントを送る」などの機能に加え、「ドコモスポーツくじ」や「即時復旧機能」などが利用可能になる。d払いアプリでは、本人確認を経て入金や送金などの機能が利用できる。
本人確認は、アプリ内で「Appleウォレットで本人確認」ボタンをタップし、表示される情報を確認した後、Face IDやTouch IDで認証する。開示される情報は利用者が都度確認でき、端末上にのみ保存される。Apple側が取得することはない。
なお、「iPhoneのマイナンバーカード」は、デジタル庁により6月24日から提供されており、最新のマイナポータルアプリを通じてAppleウォレットに登録することが可能。
