ウェザーニューズは、気象情報サービス「ウェザーニュース」のAIチャット機能「お天気エージェント」を、全有料会員向けとして提供を拡大した。

生成AIを活用し、ユーザーの天気に関するあらゆる質問に対してウェザーニュースの気象情報から自然言語で即座に回答するサービス。これまで月額680円のウェザーニュースPro会員向けの機能として提供していたが、月額360円の有料会員へ提供範囲を拡大した。
AIへの質問は、「この後洗濯物を干したまま外出しても大丈夫?」「今日は折り畳み傘と長い傘どちらがおすすめ?」など、普段の会話のようにチャット上で行なえる。生成AIの知識とウェザーニュースの気象データを掛け合わせることで、より身近な生活に結びついた新しい天気予報の体験を提供するという。
入力されたプロンプトは、個人が特定できない形で分析し、回答できる気象データの充実やエージェント機能の拡充などに活用される。
