不正アクセスによる情報漏えいが相次ぐ中、民間の調査会社が調べたところ、先月1か月間だけでサイバー攻撃によって漏えいした可能性がある情報の件数が1億8500万件あまりにのぼることがわかりました。去年1年間の3.7倍に急増しています。

調査会社の「MM総研」によりますと、先月1か月間に企業や団体に対するサイバー攻撃で漏えいした可能性がある情報の件数は1億8544万件にのぼりました。

先月は30の企業や団体が100万件以上の情報漏えいを公表していて、調査会社では、企業などが持つデータベース全体が不正アクセスを受けることで漏えい件数の大型化が進んでいると分析しています。

また、パスワードやログインIDなどの認証情報について見てみると、ことし1月から10月の累計でおよそ1億6100万件が漏えいした可能性があり、不正なログインやアカウントの乗っ取り被害が拡大する要因になっているとしています。

調査会社は「個人情報を預かる企業には、不要になった会員データの削除など侵害されても被害を広げないようにする備えが欠かせない。漏えいがあった場合、利用者がとるべき対策を具体的に示す体制づくりも急務になっている」と指摘しています。
