ソニー、子どものゲーム時間や課金を管理する「PlayStation Family」
ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメント(SIE)は、子どものゲーム利用を保護者が管理できるモバイルアプリ「PlayStation Family」を発表した。iOS 14およびAndroid 8以降のOSに対応し、世界各国で順次リリースされる。

本アプリは、PlayStation 5およびPlayStation 4でのペアレンタルコントロール機能を強化するもので、保護者がスマートフォンやタブレットから子どものプレイ状況を直接確認、各種設定を遠隔で行なえる。
主な機能として、プレイ中のゲームやリクエストを即時に通知する「リアルタイム通知」や、プレイ履歴を日次・週次で確認できる「アクティビティーレポート」などを搭載する。また、曜日ごとにプレイ時間の上限を制限できるほか、子どもがプレイ時間の延長をリクエストした際の承認や却下も可能。
そのほか、PlayStation Storeでの利用金額の上限設定、ゲームの年齢制限やコンテンツ制限の個別管理、オンラインでの交流範囲やプライバシーに関する設定なども行なえる。
