ランサムウェア Phobos/8Base によって暗号化された被害データ復号ツールを警察庁が開発
警察庁は7月17日、ランサムウェアPhobos/8Baseによって暗号化された被害データを復号するツールを開発したと発表した。
警察庁関東管区警察局サイバー特別捜査部では、世界各国で少なくとも2, 000件の被害が確認されているランサムウェアPhobos/8Baseによって暗号化された被害データを復号するツールを米国FBIの協力を得ながら開発し、日本警察とユーロポール、米国FBIで同ツールの有意性が実証されたとのこと。
警察庁では、「Phobos/8Base復号ツール」および「Phobos/8Base復号ツールガイドライン（日本語版）」を同庁のホームページで公開しており、誰でもダウンロードして利用が可能となっている。
