記録的な豪雨で、千葉県市川市では冠水した道路で倒れている男性が見つかり、その後、亡くなりました。

千葉県によりますと、男性は8月13日、市川市二俣の冠水した道路で見つかり、その後、死亡が確認されました。

近くに住む知人の男性はこの日の午後7時ごろ、人づてに聞いて現場に駆けつけ、人が倒れているのを見つけましたが、ひざの高さまで水があふれてたどり着けず、誰が倒れているのかもわからなかったということです。

男性は「水につかっているから人工呼吸もできないし、脈を取ろうにも雨や雷の音でわからなかったと思う。冠水で救急車も近づけず、救急隊が担架を運んでくるぐらいだった」と当時を振り返りました。

また、亡くなった男性からは「設計関係の仕事をしていた」と聞かされていたということで、「土木や建築関係に詳しく、いろいろ相談に乗ってくれた。ふだんから『川の水が増えると下水が逆流しちゃうよ』などと言っていた。手に懐中電灯を握っていたので心配になって外に見に行ってしまったのかもしれない。地域のために働いてくれた人だった」とやるせなさそうに話していました。
