兵庫 尼崎 JR脱線事故から20年 事故現場で犠牲者悼む
107人が死亡したJR福知山線の脱線事故から、25日で20年となります。兵庫県尼崎市の事故現場では、遺族などが、およそ800本のろうそくに火をともして犠牲者を悼みました。
2005年4月25日、兵庫県尼崎市で、JR福知山線の快速電車がカーブを曲がりきれずに脱線し、線路脇のマンションに衝突して乗客など107人が死亡、562人がけがをしました。
事故から25日で20年となるのを前に、現場に設けられた追悼施設では、「追悼のあかり」という催しが行われ、遺族などおよそ100人が集まりました。
会場には、およそ800本のろうそくを入れた容器が、「わすれない」とか「つなぐ」という文字の形に並べられ、集まった人たちは、ろうそくに火をともすと、静かに手を合わせ犠牲者を悼んでいました。
この催しは、10年前から毎年行われてきましたが、実行委員会は、遺族の高齢化が進んでいることから、今回を最後の開催にするとしています。
実行委員会の代表で、事故で義理の弟を亡くした上田誠さんは「実際にあかりを見ると、ことしで終わりにすることがさみしく思えてきます。鉄道の安全の大切さを伝えたいという遺族共通の思いを、これからはJRの社員や社会全体でつないでいってほしい」と話していました。
