電気・ガス料金支援 今年度予算の予備費3800億円余支出へ 政府
政府は7月から3か月間実施する電気・ガス料金への支援に充てる費用などとして今年度予算の予備費から3800億円余りを支出することを決めました。
政府は27日の閣議で、電気・ガス料金やLPガス料金への支援などに今年度予算の予備費から合わせて3880億円を支出することを決めました。
このうち、7月から9月までの3か月間実施する電気・ガス料金への支援として、2880億円を充てることにしています。
政府は、アメリカのトランプ政権による関税措置の影響が見通せない中、足元の物価高に対応し、家計の負担感を和らげるとしています。
また、LPガス料金への支援など、地域の実情に応じて使える「重点支援地方交付金」の拡充に1000億円を支出します。
今回の支出の決定で、今年度予算の予備費は残りおよそ3500億円となります。
電気・ガス料金への支援はおととし1月の使用分から始まり、その後も断続的に行われていて、計上された予算は4兆円以上に上ります。
国民生活への配慮と財政規律とのバランスをどう図っていくかが引き続き課題となります。

林官房長官は閣議のあとの記者会見で「アメリカの関税措置を受けた『緊急対応パッケージ』の一環として足元の物価高にも対応する観点から使用を決定した。暑くなる夏への対応として電気・ガス代への支援を行うことで標準的な家庭では3か月で3000円程度の負担の引き下げ効果が見込まれる」と説明しました。
また「『重点支援地方交付金』を積み増すなどして地域の実情に応じた物価高対策を後押しし、関税措置の影響を受ける中小企業への支援にも万全を期していく」と強調しました。
