筑波大学所属 日本チーム「TPC」優勝 ～「IERAE CTF 2025」世界 42 ヶ国 全 809 チーム参加
GMOサイバーセキュリティ byイエラエ株式会社は7月1日、6月21日から6月22日にオンライン開催した国際的なサイバーセキュリティコンテスト「IERAE CTF 2025」に、世界42ヶ国から全809チーム、1,618人がエントリーしたと発表した。
「IERAE CTF」は、2024年に初開催したGMOサイバーセキュリティ byイエラエが主催するサイバーセキュリティコンテストで、2025年は2回目の開催となる。
「IERAE CTF」は、日本のセキュリティ人財がCTFに興味を持つきっかけを作り、セキュリティエンジニアの育成につながる国際的な競技会になることを目的に、初心者からトップレベルプレイヤーまで幅広い層が楽しめるような問題を出題、2025年は主に、ウェブアプリケーション、暗号、リバースエンジニアリング、Binary Exploitation（ソフトウェアの脆弱性を使った攻撃）の分野から26種類の問題を出題している。
なお、「IERAE CTF 2025」で出題された問題の解法は、GMOサイバーセキュリティ byイエラエの公式セキュリティブログで公開している。
「IERAE CTF 2025」には全809チームがエントリーする中、筑波大学所属の日本チーム「TPC」が1位を獲得、賞金として30万円が贈呈される。また同大会では、日本の若手セキュリティ人財を奨励する目的で、国内の学生のみで構成されたチームを表彰しているが、総合1位を獲得した「TPC」は国内の学生のみで構成されたチームという条件も満たしていたため、ダブル受賞となった。
1位を獲得した「TPC」代表者の安藤慎氏は「「IERAE CTF 2025」ではテーマ、難易度ともに多彩な問題が出題されました。競技中はチームメンバーそれぞれの強みを活かしながら協力して問題に挑戦でき、多くの学びと達成感を得ることができました。このような貴重な機会を準備していただいた運営の皆様、そして同じチームでコンテストに取り組んだTPCのメンバーに心より感謝申し上げます。」とコメントしている。
同社サイバーセキュリティ事業本部 執行役員の小池悠生氏は「特に日本人の、あまりCTFに馴染みがない方々から、「楽しめた」というフィードバックをいただけたのは嬉しい限りです。また、日本の学生1位のチームである「TPC」が、全体でも1位を獲得するという素晴らしい結果に衝撃を覚えると同時に、日本の若手プレイヤーへの期待を膨らませています。」とコメントしている。
