次世代のシボレー コルベット登場！ “C10”は、超カッコいいぞ！

7月24日、シボレーは、新しい「コルベット」のコンセプトモデルを発表した。
新しいコルベットのコンセプトモデルは、アメリカのカリフォルニア州ロサンゼルス郡パサデナにオープンした「アドバンスド デザイン カリフォルニア スタジオ」が手がけた。
新しいコルベットのコンセプトモデルは、社内でC10と呼ばれているそうだ。現行のC8コルベットは2020年末までの生産が予想されているゆえ、C10の登場は2040年頃になるようだ。
新しいコルベットのコンセプトモデルは、BEV（バッテリー式電気自動車）だ。搭載するパワートレインは不明。ただし、低い着座位置を実現すべくバッテリー形状などは工夫されている。
エクステリアは、空力性能を高めるべく、さまざまなエアロパーツを装備。アクティブリヤスポイラーも搭載する。全長は4669mmで、ホイールベースは2767mmを確保。アンダーボディ形状などは、F1のレージングマシンからインスピレーション得て開発、デザインされたという。足まわりはフロントが21インチ、リヤが22インチの前後異径だ。
全体のプロポーションは、ミッドシップレイアウトを採用した現行コルベットを彷彿とさせる。ボディカラーは印象的なレッドとグレーの2トーンを採用した。コクピットは、ルーフの脱着が可能。開放的なオープンドライブも楽しめる。
車内へ乗り込むためには、ボディ上部を引き上げる必要があるものの、おそらく電動だ。運転席まわりは、レーシングシュミレーターからインスピレーションを得たデザインという。
メーターは、ARヘッドアップディスプレイを組み合わせる。運転中に必要な情報を目前に集約することで、前方からの視線移動を抑え、情報を素早く処理することが可能だ。
シートは固定式であるものの、ステアリングホイールとペダル位置は調整可能だ。
新しいシボレー コルベットのコンセプトモデルは、量産未定。今年後半には、別のシボレー コルベットのコンセプトモデルが発表されるというから楽しみだ！
