「イオンモール仙台上杉」10月開業 東北大学 雨宮キャンパス跡地
イオンモールは、宮城県仙台市に商業施設「イオンモール仙台上杉」を10月8日に開業する。

地上4階建てで、敷地面積は約33,000m2。核店舗はイオンスタイル仙台上杉、サブ核店舗はユニクロ、無印良品、コジマ×ビックカメラ。そのほかに専門店が約140店舗出店する。
所在地は宮城県仙台市青葉区堤通雨宮町1-1。東北大学雨宮キャンパス跡地で、仙台駅から約2kmに位置する。大正期から旧制二高の校地があるなど、仙台有数の文教地区としても知られる場所で、近隣の住宅や医療施設とともに、複合的な地域拠点となることを目指す。
コンセプトは「あたらしい街ナカぐらし」。飲食店は地元の名産品から、日常の食卓を彩る一品、デザートなど13店舗の食物販ゾーンのほか、愛宕上杉通り沿いにテラス席を設けたレストラン、98インチの4面モニターでスポーツ観戦や音楽が楽しめるフードコート「グルメアリーナ」などを展開する。
専門店は、アパレル「GLOBAL WORK」、スニーカーやアパレルを販売する「ABC-MART GRAND STAGE」、キッチン雑貨「212 KITCHEN STORE」、ライフスタイル雑貨「3COINS+plus」、エースの直営店「ACE BAGS＆LUGGAGE」、子供服「petit main」、100円ショップ「キャンドゥ」などが出店。
4階は、雨天でも遊べる屋内外一体型の芝生広場「KAMISUGI ONE PARK」を用意。開放的な芝生広場で天候や季節を気にせず子どもが遊べるほか、ピクニック気分を楽しめる。夜は非日常感が得られる大人のくつろぎ空間として、大人も子どもも活用できる空間とする。3階には子どもの遊び場「もくいくひろば」も備える。
また、約250m2の多目的ホール「イオンホール」を4階に設置。音響設備やスクリーンなど投影設備も備え、音楽イベントや落語、オペラなどの各種イベントを実施する予定。期日前投票所の設置も行なう。
核店舗のイオンスタイル仙台上杉には、東北エリア初となる冷凍食品専門店「@FROZEN」が出店。地場産品を取り揃える食品売場に加え、ヘルス＆ビューティー売場などを展開。イオン東北ネットスーパーや「レジゴー」も導入する。
施設には、旧東北大学雨宮キャンパスの守衛室や記念碑、枝垂れの桜並木などを配置して当時の面影を再現。四ツ谷用水モニュメントも設置し、地域の文化と歴史を継承する。東北大学と共同で緑化計画にも取り組んでいく。
規模は地上4階建、敷地面積約33,000m2、延床面積約75,000m2(立体駐車場含む)、総賃貸面積約29,000m2。立体駐車場棟は6階建で、駐車台数は約1,300台。
