PayPay銀行、1000万口座突破　若年層中心に5年で500万増

PayPay銀行は24日、2026年4月に預金口座数が1,000万口座を突破したと発表した。2021年4月にジャパンネット銀行から社名を変更して以降、PayPayとの連携を活かしたサービス拡充を進めており、この5年間で500万口座増加。社名変更前と比較して約4倍のスピードで成長している。 口座数の拡大は、若い世代の利用増によるもので、10代・20代の口座数は、21年3月末の約45万口座から26年3月末には約180万口座へ増加している。同社は、PayPayでの割り勘や送金、買い物などが広がるなかで、若い世代にとって銀行口座が日常の延長で自然につながるものに変化していることが増加の背景にあるとする。 また、PayPay銀行では、PayPayアプリを起点に口座開設がしやすい導線を整備している。たとえば、PayPayで本人確認とメールアドレス登録済みのユーザーは最短1分で口座申込が可能なほか、アプリ内の銀行ミニアプリから残高確認や振り込みも利用できる。 このほか、PayPayアプリやPayPay銀行アプリでATM入出金ができる「スマホATM」やアプリ上での残高確認、PayPayカードやPayPay証券との連携なども展開。日常の支払いから資金管理、資産形成までを途切れなくつなげる機能を用意する。 若い世代との接点拡大に向けては、口座開設可能年齢を12歳へ引き下げたほか、「PayPay U18応援プロジェクト」も展開している。同社は今後も、若い世代にとって選びやすく、使い続けるほど利便性を実感できる銀行であるとともに、あらゆる世代に支持される銀行を目指す。
