NTTドコモは21日、「dポイント」の2025年度の年間ポイント消費数が4,052億ポイントとなり、初めて4,000億ポイントを突破したと発表した。前年度の3,248億ポイントから約25%増加し、同社はdポイントの日常利用の定着が進んだ結果としている。 25年度のポイント利用内訳は、全国のdポイント・d払い加盟店での利用が3,389億ポイント、ドコモのサービス・商品での利用が663億ポイントで、全体の約8割が加盟店での利用となった。 同社によると、dポイントには「使い分けをあまり意識せず、普段の支払いで無理なく活用できる」といったユーザーの声が多く寄せられているという。MMD研究所の調査でも、利用シーンとしてコンビニエンスストア(39.4%)、ドラッグストア(33.6%)、スーパー(25.8%)、ECサイト(25%)など、日常的な支払いの場面が多く挙げられた。 また、ポイントを貯める場面と使う場面がほぼ重なっている点も特徴とする。日常の支払いで貯めたポイントをそのまま次の支払いに使うという分かりやすい体験が、継続的な利用につながっているとしている。
