北海道 壮瞥町 雪合戦の大会開幕 全国から約120チーム集まる
北海道壮瞥町で雪合戦の大会が22日から始まり、全国から集まったおよそ120のチームが熱戦を繰り広げています。
ことしで36回を迎えた大会には、全国から127チーム、およそ1200人が参加しています。
開会式で去年の優勝チームの選手が、「最高の仲間とプレーできることに感謝し、正々堂々と戦い抜くことを誓います」と宣誓しました。
大会では7人1組のチームが1セット3分間を3セットマッチで戦いますが、相手陣地の旗を奪うか、雪球を全員に当てると勝ちで、時間切れの場合は残っている選手が多いチームが勝ちとなります。
投げられる雪玉の数は1セットにつきチームで90個の制限があって、選手たちはコートに設置された壁に身を隠しながら球を投げたり相手の陣地に走り込んだりして熱戦を繰り広げていました。
長野県から参加した30代の男性は、「相手との駆け引きや戦略が雪合戦の魅力です。1試合目はなんとか勝てたので次の試合も頑張りたい」と話していました。
大会は23日まで開かれます。
